Short description:

the challenge

A good while back Beans About Coffee - Oudtshoorn asked me to create an artwork print for a portable coffee vender, so being me, always keen for doing something new for a #brand, there was no hesitation.
The experience pushed me and I enjoyed it. This all started from 7am Monday some month in 2018.
While driving back home to Oudtshoorn from Cape Town International Airport. I had been on the road and awake for 8 hours and had another 4 to go. I received a call from the owner of Beans about Coffee in Oudtshoorn wanting print-ready artwork for a portable coffee vendor.
After accepting the job, I started the process in my mind and had the last four hours on the road to get more ideas to paint the canvas. Finally, I'm home with hello's and a quick bite to eat as it was roughly 8pm now and I needed to put all my thought onto a printable format for the vendor, so I got cracking! 7am the next morning (Awake for 24hours now) I am still up and just have to transfer the files, huge artwork files on a 0.2Mbps speed internet line- terrible internet service provider, but, the only one facilitating the area, nonetheless, I continued to hold my eyes in place. 10am swiftly popped into my double vision and there was a small change which I got done. 12pm struck and finished all transfers done, with a happy customer on the line.
This project was all done, on time and with a smile, the kinda smile with black rings which have black rings around my eyes.
This was my experience of no sleep for 29hours producing something of value, something different and most of all, using my passion to give a quality driven artwork print.
It turned out to be pretty cool. See the pics posted. Also, lesson learned from this was to get a badass laptop which was powerful enough for the job. This time, I get to blame the tools for the time it took..
Anyhow, till next time. I hope you have a story to share-
